Likey me a little sand between my toes!!!

 

Ahhhh the pleasures of summer ~~~~~  Vacations that consist of sand all over everything!!!!   Wouldn't want it any other way.  Just yesterday I was vacuuming out the van and found some remains of sand from our Summer Beach Trip...it made me delighted in the memories I hold of our adventure.  Today being the last day of August, I thought it was fitting to blog about our trip.  Tomorrow marking Sept 1st seems to put an official end to summer....a Season to end and a New Season to begin....More Memories to be made!!    

 

Always a highlight of our trip is seeing Family!!  There are plenty to see in NC too!!  We stopped at my Sister's new house and everyone came to visit us there....lots of cousins to see!! We were especially excited about meeting the newest member of our Family...Baby Zachary!!  Wishing we could have spent more time with everyone!   

We were thrilled to spend our vacation with our best friends Alan and Maria.....what fun memories were had.  We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends who travel across the country from Seattle to spend a whole week with us and our kids.....and still leave being Best Friends!!!  Can't wait until our next Adventure together!!  My Motto....~~Work Hard Play Hard~~!!!

Could not wait to hit the beach house and have a week of nothing but re~lax~~ation.....and that's exactly what we did!!!  No time commitments, no schedules, no distractions....just pure fun in the sun, cooking, eating, drinking, golfing, swimming, sunning, boogie boarding, kiting, reading, praying, long walks & jogs on the beach, shopping, complete quality time together!!!!   It was the kind of vacation where we never looked at the clock.....we got up when we were ready, we ate when we were hungry, and we went to bed when we were tired!!!    

We were fortunate enough to stay at my Brother's Beach house for the entire week.  I'm happy he was able to come down with us the 1st night to spend time together on the deck listening to the ocean waves and going out for delicious healthy Seafood!!!   We savored the NC sunsets on the back deck of the beach house!!  Loved our time together as a Family...these are the times to treasure the most!!!  I felt Peace and Tranquility....a true gift from God giving us this opportunity!!
