Brandon has learned so much this year in Kindergarten it is AMAZING!! He is into Junie B. Jones books now since his teacher has started reading them. So we started reading a chapter a night in addition to him reading us a little book or two himself. We have lots of Junie B. Jones books from the girls and I'm excited that he is becoming interested in chapter books!! We can look forward to lots of reading time and going to the library this summer. As the year is winding down I'm beginning to get sad that it's almost over. Brandon's teacher Mrs. Palmer has been one of the best Kindergarten teachers I've ever met. It's been such a blessing being able to go help out almost every Friday morning in his class. I am going to miss that so much!! Last Friday my sister Linda took the day off from her own 1st grade classroom to observe Brandon's class. Linda is switching grades next year and is actually going to be teaching Kindergarten so it was fun for her to get some new fresh ideas. Brandon thought it was fun having her in there for the morning too.
These are some fun pictures of Brandon and his best friend Reid from his class. Brandon is so excited because Reid joined his soccer team and they are also going to play Coach Pitch Baseball together starting in June. It'll be nice that they will be able to see each other through the summer!
Aug 14 - The 1st day of Kindergarten....my how the year flies!!! What an exciting day this was!! 1 for starting school and going ALL DAY, 2 for getting into Oak Park- Carpenter, and 3 for getting Mrs. Palmer! Couldn't ask for anything better than that!
Brandon Loved Kindergarten this year!! He loved his teacher and he loved going all day and eating lunch at school. He met so many friends and is such a role model. I am so proud of him. Only 1 month left of school!! My calendar is full with Kindergarten events during this last month ....it will be very fun and bittersweet to see my Little Buddy finishing up his 1st year of Elementary School! On to 1st Grade - "at last! " says Junie B. Jones!!
