Bob started the outside of our house on Memorial Day Weekend this year. You can't tell, but all of the masonite siding and windows were rotten. He spent the majority of the summer on the front of the house replacing the rotted siding and windows.
This picture shows the new windows installed with trim, crown moldings and the house wrapped with tar paper.
The new siding is finally on and painted! We added a new black hood above our front door for decoration. We also bought a new front door, side lights, and transom. Bob glazed the door this mahogony wood color...it's beautiful. The new side lights have a leaded glass design with black iron decor in them so you can't see right in the house. Bob spent weeks detailing the crown molding around our windows, door, and even over the garage which you can see a little in this pic. We are still waiting on gutters to be installed and to place the order on our new black shutters for around the windows.
The past few weeks Bob has been working on the side of our house off our kitchen. He just installed the two new windows and added new insulation. The unfortunate thing about the windows being installed is the construction that has to be done on the inside as well. All moldings and trim had to be replaced and painted and that is hours of work in itself. Now all we have left is the back of the house and the biggest side which is 3 stories tall! At least there are no windows to replace on that side but just alot of rotten siding.
